Biography
Thomas Glover was born in London, and baptised at All Hallows the Less in Thames Street on 14th August 1580 as the son of William Glover, Dyer [1]. His father, William, remembers this parish in his Will, making a bequest to "the poor in the parish of Little Allhallows in Thames Street whereof sometimes I was a parishioner",[2]
Thomas made his Will on 7th July 1616; he requested he be buried in the vault in St Stephen Coleman Street where his father and mother were buried and then he named:
- his son and heir William Glover
- his sister Anne Roberts widow
- his brother William Glover, gent., and his wife
- his brother-in-law Edward Roberts
- his cosen - Lawrence Darby
- his wife Dame Jane Glover, who was named sole executor
Thomas was buried at St Stephen Coleman Street on 8th July 1616 and probate of his Will was granted to his widow, Jane Glover, on 15th July 1616[3]
